Checking In

All potential members should report to the Student Union between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 10, 2013. Here you will be given your room assignment. Moving into the residence hall must be completed by 1:30 so that you will be on time for your first scheduled meeting at 2:00. If you have any questions, call (662) 846-4138 on Mon.-Fri. from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Please review our DSU website at “Student Life” for further information.



1. Recruitment Counselors will be living with the potential members during the week. They are there to answer any questions or handle any problems that might occur. 

2. Bring your own sheets, pillows, shower curtains, personal items, etc.

3. During the day, you may wear what you would like. Be sure to bring some jeans for certain activities and a swimsuit if you would like to swim or lay out. BID DAY MAY INCLUDE A POOL PARTY. 

4. A white dress and white shoes will be needed after Recruitment for the formal pledging ceremony if you accept an invitation to membership. Bring them with you.

5. The only times you will be allowed to leave the campus are listed below:

8:00 - 9:00 a.m. Breakfast on your own
11:30 a.m. Lunch
TBA Local Free Time
8:00 - 9:30 p.m. Dinner on your own

6. There are some vending machines in the residence halls, but YOU MUST BRING CHANGE.
